Is it that 105.1 has contractual agreements to fulfill before they get blown up?

Thats why when they were at 102.3 they had the lrsfest and then flipped to love. They already had contracts with the lrsfest to fulfill thats why they went ahead and had it. Could it be something similar today?

I doubt it. If so, why would they have the July 3rd drop date on those talk shows on WNDA and WHAS?

A better guess is engineering. They fired half their engineering department a few months ago to save money. Now one guy is doing the work of two, plus installing dishes and other equipment for a news talk in his "spare time"? He's a great guy and very knowledgeable, but you can only spread one person so thin. (And this person is on call 24x7 to handle who-knows-what.)

I could be wrong, but that's my guess.

I had no idea engineers were being cut in radio. How f'n stupid.

I am also baffled by lrsfest commercials for 2009. Real smart when you have no listeners. I thought mainline knew what they were doing???

I wish they'd at least fix the sound quality regardless of if they blow it up or not.
