Is it time for the NFL's television rules to be overhauled?

Because Warner already works on NFL Network and Trico works on NBC. Chris Rise did pregame for Rams//49ers live and he and Smith/Sanders could of also called the Game.

I'm sure it's the way the NFL did the TNF contract with Fox to determine who got what games for the triple header. I bet Trico has it in his contract that he does a Saturday game. He did one last year. Plus he does some Westwood One games on radio. Fox had the B team in SF.

I still can't believe Seattle choked and lost to Arizona. A sad game riddled with injuries, including star RB Chris Carson...and then C.J. Prosise a few minutes later! I just wonder if next Sunday's showdown #2 with the Niners will also be a loss based off this game. I sure hope not. I hope most of the players injured can recover next week for that game.

And with a level of being uniform, too. EVERY game is on Sunday. Every game is also divisional opponents.

MLB starts every game on the final day of the season at the same time, regardless of time zone. I believe the English Premier League (soccer) does the same. For obvious ($$$) reasons, the NFL can't do that. Still, it's nice that the two games that will decide the NFC East are both in the 4:30 slot.

those 2 games were moved from the early slot to the late slot. The NFL a week or so ago moved a bunch of games around
-moved SF/Seattle to the SNF game
-moved Cleveland/Cincy to FOX from CBS
-moved Pitts/Balt, Tenn/Hou, Indy/Jax to the late slot on CBS
-moved the 2 NFL (L)east games to the late slot on FOX

Fox also had Brandon Gaudin from Big Ten Network doing the Cleveland at Cincy game.

CBS had a similar situation in week 15, having production of 8 games. They brought in Beth Mowins from ESPN.

was kind if surprised that cbs went to 60 minutes rather than the end of the raiders/broncos game. as it's the raiders last game as the oakland raiders. maybe because the raiders were eliminated with the titans win in houston?

The network probably didnt want oodles of network feeds out there. Tenn/Houston had a postgame then started 60 minutes on time. Pitts/Baltimore and Indy/Jax started pretty much on time.
The only Central/Eastern time zone affiliate that had the Oakland game was Sioux falls, SD. Their feed started at 6:53. All other markets of the game were in the Mountain/Pacific time zone so they are not affected.

So the AFC Wild Card games are split between ESPN and CBS. However, the 4PM ESPN game will be simulcast on ABC.

It seems like they usually schedule one AFC and one NFC playoff game on the same day. This weekend ESPN/ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC each get one game. The Saturday night game seems to rotate between FOX, NBC and CBS. ESPN always gets the early Saturday game which is the lowest profile game (Buffalo vs Houston this year).

Somewhat surprised that Minnesota vs New Orleans wasn't the Saturday Night game. A Saturday night in New Orleans is a wild scene...

A historical first for ABC-Bills/Texans went to OT, so it's the first time i can remember them, preempting or delaying for the NFL.

Although the red carpet show was affected, NBC is probably relieved that Eagles-Seahawks didn't become the third playoff game this weekend to go into OT.

But I am surprised that Eagles-Seahawks didn't air on Fox rather than NBC. So Joe Buck could broadcast the only game involving an NFC East team in this year's playoffs.

Now I'm sure if Cowboys had won the division--the game would have aired on Fox.

Probably...because Joe Buck has that woody for Dal-ASS

Announcer's personal preference as a factor in deciding which network airs a game -- that's a new one. Doesn't seem likely in the real world, sorry.

So you mean to tell me if Dal-ASS made it to the playoffs FOX wouldnt want the game so Buck and Aikman can salivate over Dal-ASS the whole game?
