Re: How was Paul Yovino seperated from WRKO?
Leaving WRKO is something to be proud of. When a morning show keeps the good guy and still goes from bad to worse, leading in to a really boring 9-noon show, then Propaganda radio from noon to 3 - C'mon.
Howie is just so unlistenable these days. He was funny for ten minutes, but it is so easy to tune out - there's just nothing there to hear. Today's topic,
Tom Reilly, held my attention for about 30 seconds; Ed Schultz was on fire -
put Schultzy on a bigger station, watch the fireworks.
AM 1430 might have a "decent" day signal on paper, but the reality is, it is terrible during the day and evaporates after 5:30 or so.
Smoke and Rumor Control and Frish and Coolidge and Wizard all seem to have a lot of inside information. Maybe they can explain why RKO is falling apart at the seams. Even Mike Savage has lost his edge via repetition.
Is it that these shows lack ideas or are they just being told what to talk about?
