Is KFI milking the Hollywood sign Severed Head Story too much?

In the 24 hour "news"/infotainment cycle, isn't milking stories necessary? Its the talk radio equivalent for the 57 times a day KPWR or KAMP or KIIS is playing a Rihanna song.

I'd rather see KFI milk the story and help LAPD catch the murderer, than ignore the story and let this dirtbag go free.

To be fair, the story is big enough, I ran it this morning in another market far, far away.

That's right, there is always compelling programming just up the dial at 790...Oh wait, nevermind... well then you can try 980... oh, no, that won't work either, hmm.... Try 1150 - no, no, I'm sorry I can't recommend that either (especially if you come equipped with a brain). Well I am sure there are other stations.

I clicked onto KFI on the way home, yesterday, here in Northern Cal. I was fascinated by the interview with the dog walker. It was interesting, AND gave me the heebie-jeebies.

I did not hear the dog walker, I'll have to check it out. i bet it is archived. They get the interviews and ask the right questions. Not boring questions, but good ones. Look at this story, they have left KABC and other stations in the dust. No wonder their ratings are so high.
