Is KSIQ still broadcasting music? Can it still be heard in San Diego?

Without all the technical engineering garble, what is the status of KSIQ?
Are they destined to be a forgotten move-in attempt?

How much money did Cherry Creek throw away on this?

KSIQ was a bad mistake by someone that was paid a lot of money to try to break into the San Diego market. It's even worse that it doesn't come close to working.

I think what needs to be said is that KSIQ has never actually been heard by anyone in San Diego, and that KSIQ becoming a presence in this market has only existed as a blog on this board.

It reminds me of the blog that said there was once a Mexican station called XYZ or whatever.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Checked today: the Campo facility is on; the booster on Mount San Miguel is not. Yawn.

Repeating: KSIQ as an interloper on the SD airwaves has only existed as a Chris Carmichael blog entry. KSIQ has never appeared on our receivers. Good work Chris!

You know its sad that they want so much money for this station or someone interesting could buy it and actually do something with it? Right now the best thing they could do is turn it off and save the power bill. If Cherry Creek really wanted to do something unique stop the CHR garbage and put something that is not on the air in sd on?

I don't see how it has any value at all. It has particularly bad coverage and it's a stand alone going up against big name clusters. My bet is it eventually goes dark.

Well it could be fixed either move it back to the valley or if they were willing to sell it REALLY cheap!

Maybe Mike 'Hooligan' Halloran can buy it and program it.

Nah Jerry from Jeff and Jerk needs to buy Q96. He soaked up all the money at CC, KFMB, Q106, and Y95 for years so that none of the employees got raises.

He's got the money!

Is the FCC opposed to moving the city of license (and tower) up north? Like say... I don't know... San Diego? I can't think of any 96.1 frequencies in LA, IE, or Orange County that would interfere..

It has to stay clear of 96.5 and 95.7(second adjacent.)

They are doing a nice job by not having the booster on San Miguil.
