To what? This surprises me if it's true. Channel's ratings haven't been great but they've carved out a niche and cut into Power's numbers.

What other format would do better in Wichita right now?

And Wichita without a CHR/Pop. I can't imagine. Maybe they'll resurrect KKRD.

Well if KZCH 'signs off' for for good, one possibility that could happen is KDGS or KMXW picking up the format, but thats just speculation since both seem to be doing well ratings wise.

As for KKRD I don't see that one coming back.

Doubt it will get more rhythmic; hell, they're billing only around 50k/month as it is..I sense Wichita rides The Bus after the first of year after everyone's blown out soon..

Maybe they should lean more towards mainstream or rock or pop or rhythmic. Make a new slogan. Channel 96.3 Today's Hit Music, Channel 96.3 All The Hits, We're #1 for all the hits, Channel 96.3, & My personal favorite: Your Hit Music Leader, Channel 96.3.

But then again these scenarios could come into play:

96.3 The Brew(80's Rock)

96.3 The Bus(Variety Hits, a la "Jack/Bob")

La Precosia 96.3(Regional Mexican)

They would probably do well with a less-urban lean. Not everyone likes to hear the misogynist lyrics and male chest thumping they play.
