Neggy,
we should get a write-in campaign to bring Bickelhaupt back to writing about Radio in the Globe.
Notice how Jason Wolfe did what Oedipus couldn't do. Oedi allegedly tried to have Peter Brock and Bill Abbatte replace Gil and Gino to cut payroll, Oedi's biggest claim to fame at CBS - getting rid of great talent and hiring lesser talent at a lesser fee. The Kraft family allegedly refused to let the Oedicurse ruin the broadcasts. Good for them. Can we get the Kraft family to buy both WBCN and WRKO?
Wolfe seems to have pulled the DePetro on Jerry Trupiano.
Broadcast team gets makeover - O'Brien, Geffner join Castiglione
Joe Castiglione will break in two new partners in 2007 (Yeah, hopefully he's breaking in his replacements!)

Jason Wolfe, of Entercom, said he and Red Sox chief operating officer Mike Dee reached the decision on the new personnel.
"I have great respect for Jerry," Wolfe said. "This process took a long time. Ultimately we decided this was the way to go."
Most of the Sox games will be carried on WRKO (680), with the exception of Wednesday night and weekday afternoon games, which will air on WEEI (850), said Wolfe, vice president of Boston programming for Entercom, which owns both stations. The pre- and postgame shows will air on WRKO, he said.

So Howie Carr doesn't seem to have to worry much about them stepping on his boring old same old same old.
Don't be surprised if RKO doesn't start adding more sports oriented stuff.
ALL SORTS OF SPORTS
with Raccoon and Varulven on RKO
Raccoon interviews previous Visual Radio guest Curt Schilling on being a Republican
Varulven interviews Tim Wakefield on his performance on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy
I think there's a market for this!
