Anyone know what happened, if anything, with the sale of WENN-AM and translator W222BK at 92.3 FM? The license transfers were submitted to the FCC on 5/21 but I never could find any info on fccdata.org or the FCC site of it ever being approved, but it's possible I might have missed it somewhere. Usually, the license transfers typically take around sixty calendar days to obtain approval but given it's been almost four months now...
If the sale is still on, any theories as to what programming the two stations will offer once they return to the air? I remember someone mentioning in a previous thread that the buyer is contractually prohibited from airing certain fomats that SummitMedia is airing on their other stations in the market.
Also, what happens to the heritage WENN call sign? Was it part of the sales contract or will Summit Media retain it, possibly moving it to another one of their stations in Birmingham or elsewhere?
