Is Steve Langford (Stern/Sirius XM) The Next To Join Merlin/101.9?

It was announced today that the longtime member of the Howard Stern Show's "news team" since the show's inception on satellite radio, was leaving to take on a "new radio venture in New York."

It doesn't specify the details of said "new radio venture in New York." But there's only one "new radio venture in New York" that I can think of, and let me just say... a reporter long associated with Howard Stern working in the same newsroom with staffers formerly from 1010 WINS would be quite a mix.

Today, Stern commented on Langford's abrupt departure - and while he was not specific on where Langford is going to resurface, he gave a pretty good clue: "... Steve got a better opportunity I guess. It’s some new format or something and he’s going to be a reporter..."
