Is there a new Morning Show headed to Rock 103.7

Still hearing talk about Grego coming to Rock 103.7 to work for Cumulus. Curious about why he was let go in Columbus and why he would come back to Houston for a third (or is it a fourth?) time. But that's what I'm hearing from multiple sources. Any information or confirmation would be appreciated.

Grego was let go in Columbus for his actions during a remote. He disrespected the client, didn't show up on time, then left way early. That and he was working for Hal Fish. Perhaps the worst PD in the history of radio.

Thanks for that. The story I got was that he showed up late for a station-produced concert and was taken to task by the PD, fired on the spot and escorted off the property! Who knows what actually happened but your version sounds entirely plausible. Thanks for passing that on along with your assessment of the worst PD in the history of radio. That would be tough title to award and H-town has certainly had its share of jerks (and good guys too).

Did he fire you or something? I've never met Hal but two of my very close friends worked for him for a combined 6 years, only leaving for bigger gigs in bigger markets, and they both have told me he's one of the best PDs they've ever worked for.

No, never worked for him, however I had two friends who worked for him, and they thought he was the worst they had ever worked with.

Actually my assessment of Hal must be tempered by the fact that the owners of the company have made many bad decisions about the programming of The Blitz, so Hal may get a bad rap by following instructions from the station owners. I have another friend still in the market, who shares your friends opinion of him, but at the same time he wouldn't work for him. Personality conflict.

So I guess it does get a little blurry. I have spoken to him, he always treated my with respect when I was a media reporter, even slipped me a tidbit of info a time or two.
