Is WGN Radio running out of fill isn

Is WGN Radio running out of fill in hosts as a lot of their on air hosts today have been fill in hosts since this morning. Kathy & Judy were the last of the regular Saturday to be on the air during their actual time slot. Matt Bubula as named filled in for John Williams and as a mystery fill in, he also filled in for Amy Guth on Saturday afternoon show. And tonight I don't know which ones of the Mincing Rascals filled in for Amy Guth as I have not been listening. The Mincing Rascals that are on the podcasts regularly are John Williams, Steve Bertrand and Eric Zone. And I see that Dave Hoekstra is also out and in his place are two Chicago Tribune columnists Chris Jones and Mark Caro. Which first of all I don't know if either one of these two have ever hosted a radio show before. And none of these fills in are even using the Showcase Studio but are broadcasting from one of the two studies either A or B in the tribune tower for fills in. So and I know those two studios have a sound board which I don't know if anybody from the Mincing Rascals or Chris Jones or if they have an engineer like Bob Ferguson that knows how to do the boards in their studios, if they are then the Mincing Rascals and Chris Jones and mark Caro sit on the side. Chris Jones I am sure that a lot of readers that get the Chicago Tribune know that he is the theater critics from them, and he will see a lot of shows that are either in Chicago, New York or even London. I mean what is next, if they somebody takes off at the last minute, are they going to start pulling people off the street, and into the building and get them to fill in for whoever that took off? And even have an engineer do the soundboard if that person doesn't want to do it themselves. If you have ever watched Kathy & Judy on the air, they both sit on the side and Bob Ferguson is at the board that is in the showcase studio, and again he is at the board for Rick Pearson's Sunday Morning show as well.

I see in a post from WGN Radio that the people from the Mincing Rascals that filled in were Jeff Carlin, Eric Zorn, and Scott Stantis

Rather enjoyed Jones and Caro the other night, but part of the reason is I think Hoekstra is a poor fit. Sounds like they were just on this week.

As for the rest, I'm sure it had a lot to do with last-minute summer vacations. Surely Feder would have had info if anyone was leaving.

I didn't listen at all to either of the fill in shows I had the web cam going even through I know that neither one of the shows was in the Showcase Studio, but I was thinking that Dave Hoekstra was still coming in, since there was no mention of him being off. And I have never listened to his radio show at all, so I can't offer my opinion of his show one way or another. And I would imagine it would just be this week, even through the last couple of months that Dave Hoekstra that was on a month long trip, so I am surprised that he was off again so soon. Not sure if it was last minute summer vacations since WGNB Radio did make a mention of their schedule page that the Mincing Rascals would be in for her, but no mention of who was filling in for the Wintrust Business Lunch which turned out to be Matt Bubula that again was also listed on the schedule for filling in for John Williams. But I can't imagine that either Amy Guth or Dave Hoekstra is leaving anytime soon otherwise I would bet that Robert Feder and Larz from Chicagoland Radio And Media would have information on that. And plus WGN Radio hasn't changed their schedule anyways since the end of last year or beginning of this year, when they brought in Steve Grzanich to be apart of Steve Cochran's show and also host a 1 hour radio show prior to Steve Cochran's show, where they also changed up their Saturday night scheduled by adding another night of WGN Radio Theatre, and moving Amy Guth to earlier Saturday night timeslot, and canceling Hannah Stanley's Girls Night Out show will keeping her on as a fill in host.
