It’s official WFFX 103.7 is now New Orleans station

KVDU 104.1 is 104.1 The Vibe in Baton Rouge as Adult R&B. WFFX is now called Halloween 103.7 New Orleans Halloween Station as Halloween songs until they find a new format for new signal in NOLA

Have all the other stations started to move around in the Pine Belt? K-Love is going to move from 107.1 to 103.7, and WMXI Laurel from 98.1 to 107.1.

So I went to Hattiesburg today and check to see if KLOVE has move to 103.7 FM but not yet it was all static but still can hear a little bit Voodoo 103.7 coming in but very faded. As of WMXI is still on 98.1 FM.

WLVZ filed a new application last week to modify the 103.7 construction permit...it is still pending review with the FCC.

Hey all -

I drove through Hattiesburg this morning. WLVZ sounded great on 103.7 FM.

In a related development, WYAB 103.9 FM picked up a C2 upgrade construction permit last week in the wake of all of iHeart's moves:

I wonder how much interference if any there will be between WYAB and WLIN Durant once it moves to 103.7?

WLVZ has now filed to move to the same tower and antenna that WFFX broadcasted from. Interesting.

It would make sense if WLVZ stay at the same tower in near Collins and put the frequency on 103.5 FM instead 103.7 FM so it would be less interference from WFFX in New Orleans and give WYAB a better signal for Central Mississippi area.

The new application also upgrades WLVZ from a C3 to C2. A theoretical move to 103.5 as a C2 would create spacing problems with WZKR 103.3C3 up the road. At the new tower location, WLVZ will be 98km from WZKR's tower. If it moved to 103.5, it would violate the minimum separation for first adjacent C3-C2 pairs, which is 117km.
