Liberman actually changed the call letters of one of their stations? That is a change. They haven't bothered to do so with the other properties they've acquired in SE Texas.

Yep, amazing isnt it....KNTE-FM issued 7/16/07...thats a shame about KIOX..if their RDS is still showing it, someone needs to do some reprogramming.
Now with the -FM suffix issued and no AM using KNTE, I suspect one of Liberman's AMs may change before too long to that call. Why go ask for a FM suffix if its AM call is not being used?
 
I got my start in radio at KIOX, and was there the day we said good-bye. I wish they would have changed the calls right after flipping the format. Something sacred about those letters for me.
