Yet more reasons for me to keep my radio turned OFF and my MP3 player ROLLING.

WTRY & Magic 100.9 are gonna be doing that soon too. To me these Christmas formats are getting out of control, too many stations doing it in the same markets today which is freakin' ridiculus. Then experts wonder why many people don't listen to regular radio anymore and everyone goes to their ipods, mp3 players, cd players, internet radio, XM & Sirius etc, this is what does it.

Radio stations start all holiday music a good 50 days or so before Christmas. Stores pull out the holiday stuff. I was at Kohls yesterday and all their holiday items were out. Bah Hambug!

It would be interesting to see what kind of ratings these stations get, what the public at large thinks. I personally think its ridiculous and won’t be listening to any station that plays Christmas music for almost 2 months. 2 days is just fine. I suppose the sponsors like it since they suppose it puts people in the Christmas buying sprit, but they have to be listening though!
