It's Official: Alycia Lane To Sue KYW

Her lawyer is looking for "facts" as to why she was dismissed by KYW. And while the Philadelphia Inquirer mentioned the lawyer "would not say whether the move was a precursor to a lawsuit"...

The Philly Daily News says Lane herself has "filed a praecipe to issue writ of summons, typically a precursor to a lawsuit, against the station."

I think it's a pretty safe bet this will go through the legal system...

Gee, do you think "I'm an f____ing reporter, b-tch!" has anything to do with her firing? Or the felony charges that have not been dropped and will be heard in court? Hmmm, how many big market stations would knowing have an alleged felon as their flagship anchor? Not many.

Unlike the Imus suit, I think that CBS may prevail here. Based on everything that's come out publicly, they are on much more solid ground than they were when they were running away from Imus. In fact, her suit may even border on frivolous.

It's quite clear that Lane's behavior was far too unprofessional for her to continue in CBS' employ. If she worked for ABC/Disney, NBC/Universal, Hearst/Argyle, Tribune, or even Fox, she would have been canned too.

I doubt Fox, CNN or even MSNBC would touch her right now.

But Vince McMahon wants her. Can't wait for the first bra and panties match she is in.

Which is exactly why she's untouchable as a news anchor. Even if she may be "touchable" in other ways.....

I think she needs to spend time in Toledo or Youngstown for a good 10 years...
