It's Official: FCC OKs Permit To Move KPLU West Seattle Translator to 92.1......

And of course it will interfere with CBU-FM1 on Saltspring Island, in the Seattle area.

The NW WA/Lower Mainland is TOO crowded with FM signals these days...

Ughh! KPLU has a good news department, but their music is bad, except on weekends. I'd much rather listen to CBC on 92.1 (which granted, doesn't come in that well here in S. Seattle).

When I want to listen to real jazz, I stream WBGO or WRTI.

Re: It's Official: FCC OKs Permit To Move KPLU West Seattle Translator to 92.1..

I'm guessing KLOP or whatever it is today is off the air due to Ice Storm Zebra, since there's been no interference to the KPLU translator since then. Can anybody out that way confirm or deny that the 88.1 signal from "Ocean Park" is off?

I heard a very weak Ocean Park on 88.1, but KPLU's translator is stronger.
