Jacksonville - 94.1 flips from The Promise to Jax Country 94.1

As I was driving into work today, noted an ad from the station that to listen to the station in Orange Park, tune into 94.1 FM.

The link from The Promise's twitter account back on May 8th said....

"Some have let us know that picking up this REAL Country music is sometimes pretty hard to do especially in Clay and St. Johns counties. We hear you...probably better than you hear us! We have a fix. Give us a few days....."

As of the 16th, they flipped format and said:

We are still playing "Real Country Music" Listen on 94.1 or 105.3 .You can also listen online, our App or on Amazon Echo. We have your REAL COU(N)TRY MUSIC where ever and whenever you need. #JAXCOUNTRY [Note: I cut and pasted the statement, they can't spell apparently.]

Was the "Youtube Promo" actually a :30 TV commercial they planned to run in Jacksonville? I never saw it on TV here..

Since the flip last year they added a simulcast on 105.3, the frequency licensed to Fernandina Beach but their stick is East of the airport in Jacksonville.

So with 94.1 on the South side and 105.3 on the North side, they should theoretically cover Jacksonville. I don't see any numbers for this combo unless they just aren't buying the book and would show up otherwise.

I did not see this on TV either, must be a YouTube or website promo only. I get 105.3 without problem living in Nassau County. As for 94.1 driving to the Westside for work, I get the signal OK off of Cassat Avenue.
