James Corden to leave “Late Late Show” in 2023

Many feel that, without Corden having his "Carpool Karaoke" bits to prop him up, he most likely would have been shown the door a while ago as he wasn't great in that role

I agree. His interviews were uncomfortable from the start, and perhaps because he insisted on them being done as a group. That's not always the best situation for a celebrity who is used to being the center of attention.

Carpool Karaoke was a brilliant idea, and the bookings were top notch. I could tell they were heavily edited. But I still can't see where $65 million comes from.

CBS could no longer afford to produce 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' as it raked in less than $45M but cost up to $65M to make

wouldn't that be a Tonight Show level budget on CBS's second tier late night show.

I'm curious exactly how Tom Cruise and James Corden were able to participate in a "Lion King" performance. Unless the editing showing the audience (and how did they get the audience's permission for that) was very creative, they were really there. I'm guessing they were the warmup act.

Cruise is a really good actor, even there when it's supposed to be silly.

I fast-forwarded through Adele but that just went on and on and on.
