LA's number one (english) morning personality goes meshugganah.

Ouch. Handel sounded like a lunatic.

Handle's producer complained yesterday that she was getting on an elevator at the Clear Channel brothel yesterday, and all the mean Star people were gertting out of the elevator cab, saw her, AND PRESSED ALL THE BUTTONS!

"You stink" she blogged.

I guess they know how to press Bill's buttons, too.

I am assuming that right now, there are many at the Burbank DeathStar that are becoming quite nostalgic over Danny Bonaduce.

Stuff like this in a time when you could be replaced in the blink of an eye with a voicetracked show etc,..just never ceases to amaze me. Idiots, simply IDIOTS!. I guess Bill doesn't think that his kid will be traumatized at school with this all over the internet!. By the way what fun for a child, you get to go to a NEWS STATION today! because Kids love that NEWS!

The only person I think that is going to lose their job over this is the Star board op. Interesting that the Burbank police were called out and the Star morning show producer wants to press charges against Handel.

Half true, half not...

I've been saying for a long time that Jamie and the morning show just really are the biggest problem with the station... but as David has pointed out on another thread, Star posted "it's best ratings in years" in November.

Call me a prude, but that was really ugly. Even where I work in Australia, that would be instant dismissal, that's even before you take into account the swearing offences. Where does Handel get off going over to them and blasting them on air? I feel sorry for the board-op who will no doubt get the ass for Handels stupidity. It'll be a real shame if Handel doesn't cop any heat for his outburst.
 
I think Handel's saving grace is his numbers. He brings in $100,000's of dollars into the KFI coffers, I bet.

I want to know what Jamie said to Bill's daughters to get him that upset.

Fire Handel! Case closed! He blew it and needs to be blown out of the station! Use of profanity lack of vocabulary! What a hothead, didn't anyone teach him to count to ten? Time for the HR deptartment to do their job! He wouldn't work another day at my station!

Sounds like someone needs to lace the water supply with some Xanax....

Does anyone know how many of the expletives were deleted and how many F-bombs actually made it over the air. The fines alone could probably be a nice chunk of change....

I don't see how CC cannot fire Handel. Remember when they cut Howard Stern loose? Remember their performance before Congress as the crusaders of decency and the trumpeting of their much ballyhooed "Zero Tollerance" policy?

Since then, new indecency fines have been signed into legislation, AND Clear Channel has filed papers with the FCC to approve their sale. Now while it's true that Handel probably does bring hundreds of thousands of dollars of cash into CC/LA, the bigger picture is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. This is the last thing that CC needs hanging over their heads right now.

My money says he's out.
