Jan Hooks, ‘Saturday Night Live’ Star, Dead at 57

An interesting factoid in Jan's obit at cnn.com. She got her start on the Bill Tush Show in her hometown of Atlanta. For those who don't recall - Tush was a funny and bizarre guy who worked for Ted Turner on WTCG/WTBS before and after it became "the Superstation." I recall him reading the news with one of those fake arrows going through his head.

The new episode included a tribute. It was a black and white movie where she was an older woman who went to her bank safe deposit box. There was a great old song playing as she recalled, in color, dancing with Phil Hartman in a military uniform.

The classic episode in prime time had her in the cast but I don't know what she looks like so i don't know what she did, but it was obivously a last-minute change since my TiVo listings said the musical guest would be Paul McCartney and the B52s were on instead.
