Japanese women's wrestler Hana Kimura commits suicide at 22 due to cyberbullying.

a tragic story that shocked the wrestling world, as well as Japanese reality TV as Japanese women's wrestler Hana Kimura has committed suicide at the young age of 22 after being cyberbullied by fans of the Japanese reality show Terrace House. she posted tweets of self-harm and wrote a tweet that sounded like a suicide note. she was bullied by fans of the show online due to episode of the show where she got angry at a male roommate in the reality show which seems to be loosely based on "The Real World" and "Big Brother". the reason she got angry was cause the person put ring gear she wore in the the first ever women's match to ever happen at NJPW's annual early January show at Toyko Dome (which since 2007 has been called Wrestle Kingdom) in the laundry only for it to get ruined. the show edited it out of context not showing the importance of her ring gear as it was a gear worn in a historic match. she also competed in the US for Ring of Honor Wrestling as part of a promotion relationship with her primary promotion Japanese women's promotion "World Wonder Ring Stardom". she also competed in the historic event G1 Supercard (which was a ROH/New Japan Pro Wrestling joint PPV event) at Madison Square Garden in New York City (the event is the first non-WWE wrestling event to take place inside the main arena since the 1960s) last year on the eve of WWE's Wrestlemania 35 (that too is a historic event due to the first ever main event to be main eventer by women when Becky Lynch defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win the Raw Women's and SmackDown Women's Championship in a winner take all triple threat match).
