Jay was a frequent guest on Mark Simone's "Saturday Night Oldies" on WABC. This guy was funny--the rapport Black and Simone had was great.

He was great on the PBS specials, and he seemed a very nice man. His was one of the voices that could make poetry out of a phone book. Hitting the high notes on "Cara Mia" during those specials was nothing short of spectacular.
