JAY SEVERIN ADMITS CONTACTING THIS BOARD TO SHUT DOWN DISCUSSION OF HIM

Truth Is The First Victim

Again, name just one thing I said that is not true and been reported elsewhere.

I did not write Jay Severin's email to one of your moderator's Jay Severin did.
I only mentioned it.

As one much smarter than I said, 'truth is often the first victim'.

Why is your answer always that this one or that one has been "ordered" to post etc etc etc by whomever?. Sometimes people just differ in opinion from you that does not always indicate a vast conspiracy. I would agree that Severin can it would appear be able to dish it out but not take it. It's a common trait of most talk hosts not just those on the right but they seem more prone to it than most, whether it be Severin, O'reilly (who is just not capable of diolougue at all) or Rush.......It's part of the gig. Severin never did anything for me as a host the pomposity and bombast was always too much and he seems to think quite highly of himself, that annoys most people, on or off air.

LIES are not the only way TRUST gets broken. What part do you not understand? I'm starting to think there may be a comprehension problem here...

Exactly...something the moderator probably DIDN'T expect you to do...thus you have broken his (mine, and other's) trust. PERIOD. It has nothing to do with LIEING...Get it???

> As one much smarter than I said, 'truth is often the first

There is no issue with Truth here...it is with how it is handled. kind of like how the media with holds a murder/accidental death victim's name until the family have been told. You'd hate to find out someone dear to you died by hearing it on the news first...It doesn't change the truth...But how people deal it out is what matters.

You act like a mosquito just bit you and you are scratching the bite till you bleed, instead of taking a couple breaths and let your body do what it's supposed to do to make the itch go away. Sometimes it's better to let nature take its course rather than iritate the situation.......

Let Us Agree To Disagree and Move on

Enough. Even I am getting bored with this.

Let's just agree to disagree and move on.

This issue is at a standstill until either Severin returns or the other shoe drops ... not to exceed 12 months or 50,000 miles which ever comes first.

PEACE Please !

Good points. The Globe lies much more than Severin does. They and
their company's other paper have made up stories and events
on a number of occasions over the years. Their lies were much
more serious and outrageous in nature than taking an 'o' out of
someone's name or equating on-line writing award to a Pultizer.
And for Scott Lehigh, just another ink cockroach with an agenda.

Your countdowns are as annoying as Severin's intros. Yes,
we all know you profess y your love for Howie and can't stand Jay.
Thanks for sharing. Drop it. It's not amusing.

Yeah--I've been thinking and in many ways all this stuff is trivial.
But I have a kind of Howie Carr-wiseass type of personality where I
_like_ to talk about stuff like this, make fun of people, etc.
For all I know Flattop is a swell guy but he just has this on-air
attitude, which he could deflate easily by tackling these things on-air
(again, the Pulitzer Prize claims...will JS be in the next Lying
Liars book by Franken?). But "Where In The World Is...Jimmy
Severino"?

It just happens. Someone gets replaced and it's "Now it's the
so-and-so show", and such-and-such, who used to have that time
slot, isn't afforded the luxury of doing a "last show" to say
goodbye. Explanations usually not given. "Young man, this
radio station is a business..."

Re: Day 6 of Life Without Severin

I know, this'll be the last one till he returns. I go overboard sometimes,
too, but I'm kinda doing it in a cynical H.Carr-style. But note that on some
posts I mentioned that if Jay gets a show and is the top of the list,
king of the hill, A-number-one talker on the radio, fine with me, but I
still wouldn't listen.

It's amusing to some...Stuff that Howie talks about would make the Air
America crowd shake their fists in anger (the latest cause of liberal outrage is
a book called "Mommy, There's A Liberal Under My Bed"--I kid you not)
while conservatives would express similar outrage, or indications of
boredom, with anything on the lib stations. Oh well. Will tone it down.

Re: What will we do?

Hath he a thin skin? Hath he no sense of humor? "Got himself a flattop
haircut, Lord he thinks he's cool", as Johnny Paycheck once sang.

True, it's just trivial stuff but people like me get a kick out of
making fun of things like that--the inflated resume, though, is of
more concern.
