Jeff and Jer buying a radio station, confirmed by Tommy Seblan

Tommy Seblan confirmed on his blog yesterday, that Jeff and Jer are indeed in the process of "buying a radio station." This would explain the delays in their return.

From his 2/20/10 entry:
"Frustration and impatience sometimes gets the best of all of us on the show as the process for buying a station is happening. I think I have done pretty okay with taking myself out of that part for now and just working out at the gym and doing work for other shows in the country."

You can read the entire entry here:

It should be noted that Tommys blog post says, "the process for buying a station is happening." It does NOT say "Jeff & Jer are buying a station."

I said "buying," I didn't say that they had bought it yet.
Besides, I didn't want to make the subject too long. But your point is well taken.

Still, this is the first confirmation we have had that Jeff and Jer are trying to buy a station.
Which has me asking: Really? That's what it's going to take to get back on the air? That's like trying to kill a fly with a hammer. That is, a an expensive gold laced hammer with a brass handle.

I could have saved them some money! Why not just buy air time on someone else's station and then sell your own advertising? Would seem to be a lot cheaper, easier, and would obtain the same results. Wouldn't it?

wow they must really want get the show going again and buy a station during these economic times good luck how about putting their show on KLSD LOL

Garrett. I think you missed the point of my correction entirely. The issue isn't the stage of the sale of a radio station. The issue is WHO is buying a station that J&J may or may not be on in the future. Tommys blog post states that "the process for buying a station is happening." That means SOMEONE (not necessarily J&J) is in the process of buying a station. I don't know how you can state that this "is the first confirmation that J&J are trying to buy a station?" It isn't that at all. It may be confirmation that J&J are friendly with someone or a group that are trying to buy a station, but it doesn't even allude to J&J being part of a group buying a station. For all we know, they are buddies with Larry Wilson, for example, and he is trying to put together a deal to buy a station...and if that happens, he may let them do mornings.

Ah. Point well taken again!
