This is another of one of those...Oh Wow-didn't see that coming moments !!!! That keeps eveyone wondering if they are safe.

Nobody on-air is safe at this point lots more changes to come before the new year on other stations in the albany radio market.

I follow radio news closely here in the albany area, I have lived here my whole life and listened to radio for a long time, I also have lots of sources in the radio biz

I got some expierence in radio as well

Ok some of my sources say that Mrozek's position has been replaced by a new personality for the afternoons starting 11/21

Are you serious? Damn!! I think he has been at WQBK since the mid to late 90's if memory serves me correctly. He was like the face of that station. I feel bad for him, he always seemed like a really nice guy.

radio101, Oh I know that you cannot reveal your identity ...Most people know by now about mine. I just go with it. If people ask, I tell them. I have nothing to lose!

Quick bio, former radio DJ from Binghamton. Came to the CR in 96. I started "Reporting" years ago. Forget what had me do it. I've got ties with ABC. Never worked there as an employee. I am currently a full time DJ. Live in Saratoga County with my wife and young daughter. The news I report is from radio DJs Who cannot do it themselves. Whenever I get a scoop, I always ask the authenticity of it.

OK back to now...

It seems the only company other big company that hasn't been affected is Albany Broadcasting. That will change.

Dalton Castle is who will replace Jeff on Q , he comes from the zone where he did the afternoon drive I guess , he also moonlights as a professional wrestler

Looks like Dave Hunter is gone, too? He's absent from the website, used to do weekdays. I'd be willing to bet his car-selling gig pays WAY more anyway...

he was on the other day although it could of been voicetracked from awhile ago but still i think he is gone as your right he is no longer on the site.

I knew that, but I thought he was out of the building. My mistake; I heard him on-air at 5pm today. He's just not on the website, for some odd reason.

Mrozek must be devastated. That place was his home, and he out-lasted everyone else. I truly hope he finds something else-- he's such a good guy!

It is a shame about Mrozek. Always enjoyed listening afternoons on my way to work, especially the Mystery Riff. Hope he lands on his feet.

I'm sure Dalton's a good dude and all, but still hate to see Mrozek go. He had been there for a while and you'd think a little loyalty would be in order. I wonder what happened there.

I don't know tmart your guess is as good as mine maybe he wasn't up to the punch I do know he was battling lime disease however, he was very energetic person.

maybe he wasn't doing enough for Q103

Just hate to see a cat that's been in the maket as long as Jeff has been lose his job, especially with the job market being such as it is these days. It's kind of like losing an old friend. I'm sure he'll bounce back.
