Jeffery Schaub Reappears on KCBS 106.9 at 5:10 PM today

I thought Schuab was supposed to be a weekend anchor and reporter on KGO-AM 810. I just went to KCBS today and he appeared to do a report for CBS. When did Cumulus fire him? Or is he a stringer or freelancing for any news updates in SFO?

I doubt he'd be freelancing for 2 stations in direct competition. Maybe he wasn't fired by Cumulus. Perhaps he returned to CBS for a better job. Nothing in radio is a sure thing, but I've got to think that a job at KCBS is a bit more secure.

Update KCBS went down to a 5.1 in the April 2012 Books and KGO went down again to 2.5 in the books. KQED went up to a 5.7 in the books.

Schuab was a PT reporter at KGO...he is now FT at KCBS in the slot vacated by the retiring Bob Melrose.

Also, yes KCBS went down 5.9 to 5.1..BUT KQED did not go up...they are down from 6.6 to 5.7 from the month prior 12+.

KGO down 2.9 to 2.5

No one buys 12+...specific demos much more important.

@Keller- Word is, KGO & KSFO will be out of 900 by the end of the month, and into the digs with KNBR, etc. It should be- shall we say- intimate with all those stations crammed in there!

And they resumed the alliance with KGO-TV and have had weather and news people sit in at KGO. I guess they're just going to phone it in after the move.

Jeffrey left KGO to go back to the big black CBS cube at Broadway & Battery.

"Big Black CBS Cube" Isn't that the reference for the CBS Corporation headquarters in New York? I know WCBS-AM 880 was at one time based there before they moved to Mid-town in NYC and now the CBS Hudson studio's with the other CBS O&O's in NYC.

The CBS building in SF (and former Group W building) at Broadway & Battery is a big black...or dark gray if you prefer...cube. BTW, my understanding is that Jeffrey was a full time reporter at KGO...having spoken to both him and to co-workers there.

The building in NYC (52nd and 6th) is Black Rock.
