Jennifer York of KNX to Retire Friday, 5/10

Per the KNX morning show, tomorrow, Friday the tenth, will be Jen’s last day. Jennifer York has done traffic for KNX for more than a decade.

Sounds like she decided to do one last thing before retiring for good … and that is to work as a therapist.

She starts at Kaiser on Monday.
 
Sorry to hear she's leaving. Her reports are a fun part of my alarm clock wakeup in the morning. Kudos on her career advancement. Therapy pays much better than radio.
 
Guarantee you...if there's an earthquake or fire soon...someone will call Jennifer and get her on the phone to use her expertise. When Jennifer left KTLA years ago, I thought she was done with local media. Glad she had another second act in her at KNX. She is part of my childhood. She kept me company every ten minutes on the fives with her traffic updates during morning drive.
 
I was just thinking the last time we're going to hear Jennifer York on the radio is voicing the West Medical varicose vein ads.

And then I heard Sioux-z Jessup voicing one, which I guess means we've heard the last of Jen.
