Particularly when planning on broadcasting within an earshot of the regional FCC inspection cubical. You also may want to submit a flight plan to the FAA first.

I'm very concerned about property clearance in South Philadelphia for the guy wires. And he may have to lower power at night to protect the co channel Canadian stations.

Good points. I wonder, just out of curiousity, has a frequency been chosen? And how will he go about choosing one? And lastly, can he go IBOC at 100mw? What about IBOC hash? And does that mean that one still has to consider third-channel adjacencies?

If he goes IBOC, with the Inovonics distorto splatterer, he’s going to cream 1640 turnpike radio. And then we'll all be in really big trouble.
I think I'm going to take your advice about going to the internet. I was going to run a stream anyway, but I'm going check off the 100MW station. living in an urban setting, with all the old bus line wires, peco wires etc, It's tooooooooooo abiguous that this point.

Dennis, I'll trade you peace pipe for olive branch! Thank you, first, for your observation and consideration that we all gave you in the hope that it might help ... in addition to some knock-ya-in-the-head ribbing. If this could work, you might be a broadcaster yet.
Your consideration of an Internet stream all your own is, in my opinion, and, apparently, those of others here ... a wise choice.
I'd like you're email and I'll gladly send you some info on software, etc. from my own experience and, I'm hopeful, that others will kindly do the same for you. I can tell you this, you can be up and running in a day or two if you have the music ripped and ready, some liners/jingles and a decent software package, a fair computer that won't set you back, a local ISP to work with you on setup and bandwidth, a Shoutcast or Windows Media Encoder (both are free online) and a microphone...and you're off to the races.
No nasty picket-fencing, no IBOC hash, no terrestrail problems and you'll be heard from Banlga-Desh to Bensalem.
You have a unique and potentially creative idea with the Doo Wop Vault ... the value of which is it's uniqueness and ability to attract a growing audience for that great music (of my time, in fact.) Commercial radio just won't be of any help to you. But all you need is a handful of sponsors, donations (even) and a decent mix and you'll be set.
Now all Sam and I need to do is return the 55-gallon drums of salt ... and that copper wire for the radials.

Yo Oak, What about the copper radials you dug up from the NJ station, that you were going to donate to DooWop Vault’s part 15 big broadcast? He didn’t string those Guy wires across Passyunk av. yet, did he?

Sam, I'm going to scrap the radials after the holidays, I've decided. I've got them (120) strung on a Radio Shack 50-foot tripod and just got it lit with Christmas lights last night. I'm putting it on the roof Saturday. I'll send 'em in after Jan. 2. Even put a flasher on top for the star and the obstruction light!

It's amazing how a mere slip-0'-the word can really indicate where radio is at these days:
Etymology

Don’t forget the flight plan. And make sure you take regular RF readings on the Christmas tree. Be careful you don’t over modulate the Star and cause the pine needles to arc and start another forest fire.

Must be a nice drain on the power grid. Toasters within 400 yards eh? That's more coverage than the entire signal area of DooWopVaults part 15 big broadcast.
