My good friend, Jerry Sims, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 while practicing softball in preparation for an upcoming tournament. Jerry was 68, and the incident was heat-related. Please see the arrangements in the link below:

Jerry was a great friend. He was a wonderful host when I visited Little Rock.

I did not know Jerry, but I remember when I was a kid he did the weekend weather on KTHV in Little Rock.
