Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos and Maury Povich Shows all moving to Connecticut

Did they run out of trailers to find these people out there in the midwest (except MOPO)? They must be planning to ship them all in from New Jersey. A much shorter trip than Kentucky & West Virginia to the windy city. I keed, I keed, it's more jobs anyway.

No, in Stamford. Funny how WWE is mentioned in their article. Simply for reference, since they're the one major name in the city who's known around the country.

THIS is what Jodi Rell's tax breaks for the television and movie industries is bringing to Connecticut? Ugh..

This won't be the first time that daily syndicated shows have been produced in Connecticut. Sally Jessy Raphael did her show at WTNH in New Haven for a few years in the 80s.

Gayle King also did a talk show from a secondary WFSB-TV studio in Hartford once. I can't remember any more than that.

Sally looked like she had a nice big studio back then too. I was always impressed with the size for a studio that was outside of New York and Los Angeles. Does WTNH still have that studio, or have they moved since then?

That studio was in the basement of thier current building on Elm Street. It was pretty much taken over when the remodeled/added on to that buildng with the taking over of MYTV

It's not classy entertainment. But it's entertainment nonetheless. The WWE is in Stamford. Nothing classy about that either. They seem to be doing fine. I personally think it's great to have National programs coming to Connecticut. I have friends in Australia who Love to watch Jerry Springer. These shows get beamed around the world, and you've got to admit that it's kind of cool whenever they are being taped in our own backyard.

It's nothing I'm particularly proud of. Nothing like parading the worst of America around the world.
