Stations i listened to the most: The Breeze, New Jersey 97.3, Digital 102.7, WCMC.

What I enjoyed the most:
1230Am WCMC: Even tho it seems their sat service is adding more oldies titles, its still nice to hear the MOR delivery.
The Breeze: If, for no other reason, to try and figure out what to classify their format as.
WAY/IV: Gotta love the Big 80's weekend...especially now that WXXY bit the dust. Still don't get the point of 102.3, tho'. (See also: 96.1/93.1)

Stations that shocked me most:
WMID: I like their approach to Classic/True Oldies, especially with the classic WMID PAMS jingle thrown in. Perfect soundtrack for the doo-wop capital of the world!
530AM: Yes, it seems Wildwood's TIS is back on after a lengthy hiatus.

Disappointments:
Q107: No-brainer here. RIP WDOX!!!
The Touch: Surprised they didn't do more for Luther/Obie from the Four Tops. Not trashing the station overall, just upset about two big R&B acts not getting their due on ABC's Touch.
Slammin' Gold: All over the place! Some might kill me for this, but they sound better OFF THE BIRD!!!
WZXL: Put this whining kid out of its misery...they are basically classic hits at this point, with a few currents thrown in. Nothing earth shattering.
1490AM simuclasting WTKU: WHAT'S THE POINT??? Why not just keep FSR on board?

Philly Rip-Off Award:
The New Sound of Kool 98.3 TKU-FM: Motown, Soul and Great Rock and Roll. WHAT NEW SOUND???? The change is you rip off WOGL's positioner and voice guy?

Not listened to long enough to form an opinion: The Buzz, WWCJ, 90.5 - The X, WAY FM 88.1, Lite Rock 96.9, The Coast (except for Friday night "Everything 80's" - but WAY/IV blew them away), Sojo. Cat Country, Q107 (more of a protest), ESPN 1450, WOND, WIBG.
______________

At the BBQ we listened to Big Joe on NJ101.5 funny guy. Reminds me of Max Kinkel. NJ101.5 started playing more 80's like Walking on Sunshine and cut those stupid worthless promos for Gearheart and others down to less than 10 seconds. No promo for any show should be more than 10 seconds especially when you hear the same ones hour after hour.

I think WCMC uses ABC's Stardust Timeless Classics. It's nice when these MOR services stay true to their roots and not try to become more contemporary.

I got a chance to hear Q107 up here in Mercer County due to tropo. I think the music selection is better than 94.5 PST. It has a nice mix of everything. It's much better than the pseudo-CHR that is 95.1 WAYV. If its regular signal were as good as it is during tropo, it could do damage to WAYV and The Buzz.
______________

Big Joe really is great. I've always listened, but now I listen much more since it is the only place for 60's and 70's (with a bit of 80's) thrown in all weekend long in Central Jersey. I've met Big Joe and he is true to that personality that you hear on the air.
