Jim Dallas in Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame

Congrats to Jim Dallas who I believe was the only one who made the transition from the "old" to the "new" KDWN. I also have good memories of listening to him on the old 107.5 KFBI. He also spent years in Ohio radio and is known as a big Cincinnati Reds fan. I hear the sports show on KDWN tease him about it.

Also being inducted into the Hall of Fame tonight is Dave Dalton..who has worked in both Southern and Northern Nevada broadcasting. In Las Vegas he was with stations such as KORK/KYRK, KUDO, KCEP, KLUC, and KWNR. In Reno he worked for KBUL, the Americom and Lotus clusters as well as Channel 2 TV and the WB. You can hear Dave each week on radio stations across the state of Nevada as he voices the opening and closing of the Nevada Broadcasters public affairs program "Observations".

Here's the list of Hall of Fame members inducted over the years.

Well deserved!!!! He's been my engineer/board-op/producer since I've been with KDWN and am blessed to be working with him. Congrats Jim!!!!!!

Jim Dallas was actually the very first person I met in talk radio, while waiting nervously in the lobby to meet the formidable GM of KDWN, Claire, in 1998.

I was very impressed to meet him in person, because he had kept me company many a late night on my drive back from singing gigs in Laughlin or Vegas. Glad he's still part of the KDWN team.

He's a great guy, and I'm glad to see him deservedly honored.
