Jim French Creator of Imagination Theater (1929-2017)

I started to listen to Imagination Theatre around 2002 through XM Radio, A big fan of his produced content of Imagination Theatre. Tonight KIXI is paying tribute to his work with an hour of Harry Nile at 8:00pm. PST.

Jim French, KIRO morning host starting in 1959 when the station was MOR, later on middays, doing a combo music/news program after the format had changed to "mostly" all-news. A true Seattle radio legend. If not mistaken, he was replaced by Dave Ross, who for all his talent, was probably filling some big shoes with French.

Another Seattle media legend gone. Too many TV and radio voices gone at once! I never listened to Imagination Theatre, but I know Jim French had a long career in Seattle radio. RIP!
