Jim Polito on WRKO instead of K00000nah?

Got into my truck yesterday and as I started it up, I caught the tail end of a commercial on WRKO. Now, admittedly, I wasn't paying particular attention because I was focused on backing out of the driveway, but I thought I heard them announce Jim Polito was coming to "WRKO at 5". I know I heard him say something akin to "joining Joe Pags and (someone else)...".

Since Polito's already iHeart, and WKRO is iHeart, and he's on 5-9am elsewhere... does that mean Krazy K0000nah is no more? Or did I hear an outdated commercial for Talk 1200 playing on RKO?

I'm guessing what you heard is the promo for Polito's show on Talk1200 mornings. I only listen to RKO at nite and I've heard the promo many times, it's the same one that airs on Talk1200. Joe Pags is on Talk1200 live at 6pm and a repeat is aired on RKO at 10pm, so what you heard was Polito saying he's back in Boston and he's joining Glenn Beck, Clay & Buck, Hannity, Mark Levin, Joe Pags, and his show is on from 5a to 9a. At 5am on RKO is Gordon Deal's show and I doubt RKO is going to get rid of that and replace it with the first hour of Polito, which, BTW Polito's first hour is just an hour of nonsense. Talk1200 used to do promos for Gooner's show but they stopped a long time ago.

Gordon Deal and his sidekick Jennifer do a very decent job in that one hour they have. To dump them for some Polito hi-jinks is a dumb move, but radio is like that, and, as a result, finds itself with fewer listeners these days.

You must be right. I must have heard "coming to Boston" and my brain registered it subconsciously as "coming to WKRO".

Just so very odd I would hear a promo for a show "coming to" (implying it wasn't there yet) for another station, for a host who has been there for.... how long now? Over a year?

Uh, the concept of time is not a strong point for Talk1200.

Not so much WBZ, but it seems to be an ongoing issue with both WRKO and (more so) Talk1200, especially on weekends, when no one is there to over-ride, if need be, iHeart's "incredible broadcast machine" (apologies to the late Bruce Bradley of WBZ). Since I don't listen to ANY of iHeart's Boston music stations, I have no idea how they fare.
