Former President Jimmy Carter has been admitted to a hospital in Atlanta for a procedure to relieve pressure on his brain caused by recent falls, the Carter Center said Monday.

The former president’s organization made the announcement in a tweet on Monday, adding that Carter’s procedure will take place Tuesday morning.

Carter, who is 95 and the oldest living former president, was injured in two falls this year, one in the spring and one in October.
