Seems like Joan and Carol had some kind of spat in Hawaii many many years ago.

TUESDAY'S EPISODE: "Frustrated that she can’t get in touch with Carol Burnett, Joan learns Carol is having lunch in town and crashes it. Much to Joan’s surprise, Carol is less-than-pleased. Carol throws Joan attitude like we’ve never seen from the lovable comic legend. Turns out Carol never forgave Joan for ruining a family trip to Hawaii years ago."

Now, I can see Carol being mad, but there is such a thing as getting over and moving on. What the
hell did Joan to do her in Hawaii? She must have set her bed on fire, from the LOOKS on Carol's
face.............priceless. Good thing Carol left her gun at home on that day!

Seriously, it's always an attention grabber when the "good" actor/actress plays against type. It would be as if Olivia Newton-John went around kicking a dog. She's such a goody-two-shoes, you know in real life she just MUST be evil

I'm not a fan of Glee, but I did catch an episode in which Olivia Newton-John appeared as herself, and she played it like a total, obnoxious, self-centered bitch. It was quite funny.

Was watching this at midnight when nothing else was on.

Carol was pissed from the start. She looked at Joan's face and said, "You've had a lot done."

Joan agreed and commented that Carol had a wedding ring on. Carol said she had no time to
MC a High School function for Joan in May.......Joan said what if we moved it to June?

Carol said I'm having a cleansing in June. Joan says "What's this attitude? Be real with me."

Carol said, "You want real!!! HAWAII JOAN!" The she stood up and pointed a finger at her male friend and said "You pick up the tab!"..........like he was behind this reunion.......then she stormed out in a hiffy.

You know this stuff is all fake right? Scripted reality as they call it. If Carol was really irked at her, she wouldn't have signed the wavier allowing the footage of herself getting in a spat with Joan to be used on Joan show. After the cameras were turned off they probably sat together and shared lunch.

Not sure, Carol was in a public place (if she needed to ok the scene). She could have ok'd it just to
show the world what an ass Joan can/is/was...............she probably did get a standard fee (maybe
$500 for her appearance though) the same that talk shows give.

I tried to find a clip of the show on YouTube but it's not there yet. It is at Huffington Post though.

Carol Burnett was trending #2 at Google earlier today.....and a lot of that was from her fude with
Joan. When you see the clip........you will say WOW......Carol was irritated as hell.

Exactly. Ms Burnett would have had to sign a release for weTV to have aired the incident. Her pithy departing comment "Hawaii" merely reinforced the faux drama. Last week, a still-chubby Jason Alexander put in an appearance at a bar mitzvah and also came off pretty badly, most likely for comedic effect.

Of course, I suspect all three just think its all a hoot.

I don't think it was staged. Her male friend probably set up the scene and told her somebody
was dropping by............so I'd say the scene was set, but the acting looked real.
