Joe Daniels/Ed Brand out at Dial Global Adult Standards?

Ed Brand has been around forever from AM Only to the now called Adult Standards. This past weekend they had new personalities on the weekend and did not hear Ed or Joe Daniels, one of my personal favorites. What is happening over at Dial Global? I hope they didn't can these two as they are some of the best jcoks on Dial Global AS.

Really? Now I didn't hear who the DJ was, but Saturday afternoons are somewhat livelier than the rest of the week with more contests. I have a clock radio that comes on for Mike Huckabee each day at 3, which of course comes on during the weekends as well, even though Mr. Huckabee's 3:00 show only airs during the week.

I'm not referring to the talk show. This is something similar to what Paul Harvey used to do, airing in the slots he had.

Not a confirmation, but Ed Brand's LinkedIn page now lists Dial Global as a former employer. Current job listed as something called "Fresh Air Productions." If true, that's a shame. I was disappointed when he was moved off the M-F shift several years ago. I personally found him better on air than John Gleason, the evening jock who replaced Chick Watkins last year.

Joe Daniels was the one who did Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. I think he was the best guy they had, better than all the full time weekday guys.

Ed always did a great job when he was fulltime and when he was cut back to part time.

He was too good to be limited to weekends. But whoever replaced him didn't identify himself during the 20 minutes before the clock radio turned itself off. The clock radio comes on for Mike Huckabee during the week. The 3:00 broadcast, not the talk show.
