For what it's worth....To re-locate for a radio job is a viable alternative. I did so 5 year's ago and re-located to the Jersey Shore to take on Morning Drive..
All was going very well untill the station sold and that was that. There I was, on the Jersey Shore, with no job!
Lesson learned....If you are going to re-locate to any region, Ask for a re-location fee...and most important, ask for a temporary housing arrangement for a minimum of60 days...This gives you the time you need to get situated, search for a house/apartment, and put's a few dollars in your pocket needed to secure an apartment etc....If the station your negotiating with is unwilling to agree to this, Tell them NO THANKS ! Any station can "trade out" a nice hotel room for you, and the re-location fee's can be justified also....
Its' All In The Pre-Negotiation Stages Of Your Interview/Meeting With Your new Employer!

The Problem is NO RADIO job lasts
forever! I own my home in Bucksport Maine

for under 700 per month again
I love the Radio Biz BUT if I cant even find
full time in BANGOR MAINE
after Boston..WHDH/WROR/OLDIES 103/WVBF
SAN FRANCISCO KABL....Maybe its time
to stay put!
Merry Christmas
