Joe Scarborough of MSNBC will host Premiere League on NBC Sports Net

Maybe he's a big Premier (not Premiere) League fan. I'd imagine the move is a way for NBC to move away from the British voices that now dominate its coverage of the league, although to ears used to hearing Brits talk about English football, American accents somehow lack a certain ring of authority. The pronunciation of "Premier" itself is an issue -- The Brits call it the PREM-yer League, the Americans say pruh-MEER.

Did anybody read the article? Scarborough is not going to be studio host for games. He is doing a three-part series that will appear on NBCSN. He will mostly conduct interviews.
