There will be a co-anchor for the weekend evening newscasts on NBC 10 WCAU-TV. Are you kidding me. And why is NBC 10 making a big mistake?

  Because Denise was fine solo anchoring the news on the weekends. Why they need a co-anchor is beyond me.

the station's been moving away from solo anchored newscasts for awhile now. this goes back to last year. unless you're WPVI and have a Jim Gardner and Rob Jennings who can carry prime newscasts on their own, having one anchor just comes off as cheap. Yeah Denise is a pro but it's always good to have a change of pace to keep your newscast fresh.
