John Aniston, 89, Victor on "Days of Our Lives" and Jennifer's father

He has been on Days since 1985, and continued acting on the soap right up until his death. Although, his appearances for the last few years were getting fewer and farther between, he will be will still be seen on screen for awhile as Days tapes the show 6 months in advance. His role as Victor Kiriakis is legendary in the soap world. I know I will miss hearing those funny, gruff, one liners he was famous for, and the look he would give the person on the receiving end. He easily could have been the poster child for the "Get off my lawn!" old man.

R.I.P.

DOOL announced today his final show will air on 12/26, so although they tape far in advance I guess his health prevented him from taping many more episodes.

Bumped into John during one of the last tours they had at NBC in Burbank in 2012.... Nice guy! He stopped and talked with everybody while he was on his lunch break with his sandwich in hand. 😄

Sorry to hear of his passing. Longtime leading actor on Days of Our Lives. But still disappointed NBC pulled the program to Peacock. The NBC News replacement program apparently has lower ratings.
