John Carlson of Braintree, Massachusetts a Brigadier General in the National Guard was also a Boston broadcaster passed away on April 5. John Carlson was 82. He was the sports director for CBS Radio Boston. He was also for many years the voice of the New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings.
Many probably remember him locally as the voice of Bill Shea's Formica commercials for many years.
