JOHN DEPETRO in the top 100 talk show hosts in America

Wow they scored worse than Mancow(44), but better than Cowhead(91). Good work guys. Does anybody want to explain to me the criteria it takes to make it on the list. I would love to know.

PS. I start my new on air position as "Cowbell" a week from Monday. I'll be joined by my co-host "Cow Patty". Sure hope we can make it on next years list.

Three of the top four on the list are people on WHJJ. How's that working out for the station? Oh I see "Bubba The Love Sponge" came out ahead of Imus too. This is some list. It's definitely a popularity contest based on personal taste. Matt Allen should be on that list. His show is probably better than 90 out of the 100 personalities I see listed.

Talkers is a rag. We used to get it at WPEP for free even though the cover price was something like $7.50. I don't know how or why we got it but we did. I know they have seminars so maybe the position is ranked based on how many seminars you've attended?

I think Howard Stern is number 11. I know that he doesn't go to any damn seminars to be in a magazine that he probably couldn't care less about. Same goes for Imus, Limbaugh.. and ... and everybody else on that list. I definitely don't think seminars are part of the process. I just think the editors of the magazine have their favorites and every year they choose the same ones as the year before... except they move around the numbers a bit to make it look good.

I think at some point they have to start telling the truth on the numbers. If Rusty Humphries ranked higher than Limbaugh, people would know something was up.
