John Foxx to take over mornings and Brand Manager role at WCBS-FM

In his weekly column, Scott Fybush wrote that John Foxx may be joined by a co-host, apparently another former Cumulus NYC employee.

If I was a betting man, I'd say the co-host will be Kelly Ford. She just left Picklejar this past week.

Sounds like an interesting experiment. Two personalities from the former bottom-ranked FM station in New York, at least one of whom comes from country music culture, team up to do mornings at the heritage classic hits station that has consistently ranked top-5 and frequently rates #1. Will the NY audience reward them with big numbers?

LOL leave it to you to come up with something from 30+ years ago that is all but irrelevant for a NYC radio legend with a 40-year career.

You have to put it in context of his career, leaving WYNY for WAXQ. I could have brought up Dan Daniels, who also worked at WYNY before going to WCBS. But Dan already was a legend when he was at 103.5.

If Kelly actually joins John at WCBS, she will bring talents that go beyond her award-winning career as a country DJ.
