He is on KGIL which is a 20,000 watt station with 3/4ths of its signal booming out over the Pacific Ocean. Dare the fish listen??

But look at the part that's over land!

Seeing that Ziegler couldn't play well with others at WHAS or KFI, this frequency will suit him. What hot button topics will Ol' Zig lay upon Beverly Hills, Downtown, Inglewood, Torrence, Compton, Long Beach and the rest of the population within the lobe?

I think JZ will fit in with the hi-faluting population in Beverly Hills. I'm sure on slow news days he'll be attacking lye-soap making in the confines of the city. I'm sure he is the illegitimate son of Margaret Drysdale! :)

Yep- it barely reaches the east end of the city.

Yeah it must really suck only covering 90% of the population of the number two market. :D

You are much too kind with that estimate, L.A. is a commuter market. Many travel the distance of Louisville to Lexington and KGIL covers a third of the commute.

An update.....KGIL simulcast on a Tijuana frequency, 25kw at 540. That helps but not enough against the competition.
