I don't live in Houston, but I've had the pleasure of listening to some airchecks of Josh over the years at
All About Country.com. What an incredible talent! Congratulations, Josh, on this very deserving honor!
 
I've had the pleasure of knowing and following his work over the past several years. Josh is one of the most dedicated, hardest working talents I know. This honor is very much deserved. Congratulations Rowdy!
 
I've never met anyone as hard working, well respected, professional and as adored by fans as JH/RY. If you don't believe me just ask him! Congratulations BIG SEXY! Well deserved.
 
Colonel, you have graced the Houston airwaves since the 1970s. Next year you will be nominated; I will cast the vote.
 
Congrats to you Rowdy.. You deserve it, if for no other reason than you helped put together the great Houston Radio Reunion of 2008!
 
First off, I'd like to thank all the little people I stepped on to get here...

As for you Mr. St. James, the last affair of mine you attended, you wound up on the floor writhing in pain. You sure you can 'hang' with me anymore?

For all of those reunion attendees, you might be interest in knowing that the TRH of F is planning on a new approach to their induction ceremony. Casual, on a weekend afternoon, in a more festive and less stuffy atmosphere. Ring any bells?

Looks like Billy Bob's Texas in my home town of Ft. Worth is where it will go down, sometime in September.

My sincerest thanks to those who voted. I hope some of John Hicks' money rubs off on me.
 
Hey Chuck, thank you, Sir! You are a gentleman and a scholar, and I appreciate your sentiment and your nomination. It was really terrific seeing you Sunday!!

As for you, Mr. Yates......that's just cold blooded. Give me enough muscle relaxers and Wild Turkey, and I'll hang with you anytime! And no folks, there's no truth to the rumor that Rowdy tried to kick me while I was down on the floor writhing in pain...even though he wanted to. HAHAHAHA!!!! Seriously, the TRHoF deal sounds like a really fun party. Think they took their cue from you? I'd love to attend. (A great excuse to visit my second favorite Texas town!) Are their more details in the website?

And again, a big tip o' the hat, Rowdy! You done made this old KILTer proud.

Way to go, Man. I've never, personally, had the pleasure of working beside you, but through working elsewhere in Houston radio and listening to you, I know the difference you've made in our line of work. You're an amazing talent who, unlike many, has stayed in this oft-crazy business for a long time. You've ridden the waves that management has stirred and ridden them with pride. Waves, I might add, that others, like me, tired of and had to say, ENOUGH, for moving away from radio and onto other avenues of success.

No one deserves this more than you. (Sorry, Colonel.... HA.... but seriously, next year should be yours! You've paid your dues well, too.)

Congratulations, Rowdy! You've made Houston proud.
