Joshua Johnson Leaves KQED San Francisco for WAMU-FM in Washington DC

That's a big move. Rehm was not only syndicated nationally but she also helped keep WAMU in the #1 slot in middays in Washington. I don't know of any other NPR station that is tops in middays in the U.S. A few NPR outlets may be #1 mornings or afternoons, thanks to Morning Edition and All Things Considered. But for an NPR station to beat the local "your-at-work-station" AC is quite an accomplishment.

Interesting that Joshua Johnson moves from the top NPR News/Talk station on the west coast KQED for the top NPR News/talk station on the east coast WAMU-FM. For the past few years the ratings show that the NPR News/Talk stations in Washington D.C. and San Francisco also battled against All News Radio WTOP and All News KCBS for the top spots in their respective ppm data.
