being given out...
One of the Fox Sports shows that I didn't think was too bad was Ben Maller (now on weekends)...I think he used to have a game show type segment plus regular callers like "Cowboy From Windsor"...they'd play goofball sound effects and a music bed and he'd rattle off stuff within a given time limit.

No; it's you. SNR (still on overnights on 1510--at least, most nights this past week) still gives out the toll-free number (ends in 2907, I believe) and takes calls during the overnights. If the lines are near full and you really want to get on the air, you should listen on 1510, not 98.5 because 1510 is about 15 seconds ahead of 98.5. Eight seconds is the IBOC "pipeline" processing delay (even if you listen on analog FM, as most people do). I suspect that 98.5 is thowing in an additional seven or eight seconds ahead of all of the other processing delays.
Well to be honest if I tune into SNR it's for score updates but I did hear a bit of a show and it seemed like interviews only, and I stand corrected here. I did notice the delay difference, wondering if 1510 was still running SNR (this was just after the switch) and I noticed the same words on 98.5 a bit later.
btw speaking of WWZN, I noticed in a TV news report of Dem Senatorial candidates appearing at someone's house in Brookline that they were giving away bumper stickers of "1510 The Radio Revolution"

Jt the Bricks screaming and bad breathing really resonate's well at 2am doesn it? Nice to see his minions still trying to beat his drum. Brutal show, brutal host and truly unlistenable radio! Heard him doing 25 minutes recapping Sunday's NFL games with tired sound bites and play by play calls while burying the Phillies/Rockies Classic game 4 till the end of his "great monologue" No clue! You think of the Yankees had gone to game 4 against the Twins and came back in the 9th he would bury that behind 2 day old NFL high-lites?

How Sporting News Radio is still operating may be one of the biggest myseries of all time, however I take SNR over "JT The Brick" ANY day.
And yes, there is a notable delay between WWZN and WBZ-FM.

If a caller doesn't yell his call while reading from a script, the loudmouth yells POW and disconnects him.

history, and come prepared". Inevitably he'll get someone who says something ridiculous or sounds sleepy
and they'll play that tape of him saying what sounds like "TOWWWWWWWWWWWWWN!" (is it supposed to be
"TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME"?) Sometimes it's so bad it's good.
But wait, what about MySpace Monday? Twofer Tue., Hardcore Wed, and a salute to the troops night (is this
like Mickey Mouse Club, different themes for diff. days?) I believe John Tournour (real name) started out as a caller
to the Jim Rome show and also helped to produce the old Pete Rose show. And he still looks like George W Bush
