Just Discovered This...(Concerning the New Radio Station in Maplesville)

For more details on this station visit this link: http://cdbs.recnet.com/fmq.php?facid=183374&jaws=0

To the owner(s) I hope that once you get it up and running, that this station will have major success and attract a loyal following too. If I'm able to listen this new station, I'll be sure to check it out too.

Hope this station will work out for you and your company. I'm rooting for you all the way. May God bless you and your efforts.

P.S. I find it amazing that a town the size of Maplesville is fixing to get a radio station of their own. For those wonderful people that live and/or work there, I'm so proud of you.

Looks like this station is being built by the owners of WEZZ 930 out of Monroeville and the new unbuilt WHOA-AM in Mobile.
Other stations in Alexander City and Demopolis will keep 106.3 from moving the tower east or west and even upgrading from a class A at the proposed site shouldn't work.
That station's going to have a tough time unless they have some type of translator network planned. Could feeding commercial band translators with religion be the future of this station?

That's so true. If they do move east, they'll catch interference from WSTH Alex City. If they move south and/or west, they'll catch interference from WZNJ Demopolis. Now if they move closer to B-Ham, I don't think they'll catch too much interference from anyone.

Now if they ultimately move to the B-Ham suburbs, I could see them doing something along these lines: Oldies, Adult Contemporary and/or Rock. Although I'm excited for Maplesville and wish for this station to have major success, I just don't see this station staying here.

If they do the impossible and tough it out in Maplesville, I see them doing something along the lines of a Classic Country and/or Southern Gospel type of format.

Whatever does become of this station, I'm still rooting for them to have major success and do very well.
