Just heard on the news joe elliott let go from 84 whas

I'm going to listen this morning and see what he talks about - I'm sure atleast for a couple of weeks no one will talk about the topic in hand except for his departure from CC
 
I remember WHAS' Sunday lineup use to be Joe Elliott, Denton Randall, Bob Sokolar's computer show-which I loved and miss, then the Great Outdoors. All that was LOCAL!
 
Sokolor had a good local technology show and I was sad to see it go also. Leo Laporte's show would be a good replacement to air on Saturday and Sunday on WHAS.

So what ever happened to Joe? Is he still in town?
 
He was on the air today as a matter of fact.... Filling in for Terry Meiners who had the day off to celebrate his birthday.... Might be on next week too....
He has done this in the past... He is on from time to time filling in for the regulars.

I hope this is an audition for him since the 9 to noon shift is now open.
 
It would make sense to give Joe Elliott the 9am to 12pm slot...so of course WHAS will NOT do that. They will probably put Glenn Beck or some other syndicated gas bag on. Before long the entire station will be national programming except for Ripp and UlaSmell garbage. We must have those two teams on 20 channels up and down the dial. ::)
 
I do not think they will go syndicated for the 9-noon it would be a nail in there coffin!!!I bet revenue is down at night from 9pm to midnight but it probably evens out because the show is cheaper then joe was.
 
I'm cheap..HA.. Put me in there.. If they need cheap....HA! ;D

I personally liked his Computer show. It was very informative.

The site www.thepcgurus.com is still operated by the volunteers from that show. The informative newsletter they started during their time on 84online is still sent out each Thursday for Free. They are a grand bunch of people.

I still miss that show as well, but am equally thankful for their excellent newsletter.
